How to Celebrate Your Summer Like a Celebrity!

By: Arianna Pierce
Between summer activities like little league, summer camp and family vacations, I feel like I am going to be destroyed long before school starts up again. Desperate to vent my frustrations to my girlfriends, I recently invited a few of my best gal pals over, and we started collectively daydreaming about how nice it must be to live life as a celebrity. After flipping through a few episodes of reality TV, we finally decided on a solution. Although we aren’t rich and famous, we’re going to live like we are, at least for one night! If this sounds like a good plan to you, too, read on for our ideas for creating a celebrity-inspired soiree!

Celebrity summer: Movie Premieres

With all of the summer movies coming out, celebrities are flying everywhere via private jet to the latest premieres. Dressed in designer gowns and luxe tuxedos, paparazzi will be clamoring for shots on the red carpets! Whether they’re attending the premier of “The Smurfs 2” for a lighthearted show or the action packed new Superman movie “Man of Steel,” Hollywood’s A-List are going to enjoy themselves at the movies this summer!

Reality summer: Family Trip to the Movies
FM

Even if you can’t afford to fly around in your own private jet, you can have just as much fun by taking your family out for a day at the movies! Go relax in the frosty air conditioning and see a film your whole family will enjoy like “Monsters University,” “Despicable Me 2,” or “The Smurfs 2”. Don’t forget the popcorn and sweet treats!

Celebrity summer: Coachella Music Festival

The Coachella Music Festival has become a haven for celebrities looking to show off their latest Indie-inspired fashions. With celebrities like Victoria’s Secret model’s Alessandra Ambrosio and Vanessa Hudges in regular attendance, the Coachella Music Festival has become more about fashion than the indie bands that headline!

Reality summer: Backyard Bonfire

Create your own version of the Coachella Music Festival right in your own backyard. Invite all of your favorite people and ask them to bring a mix of their favorite music for the party You can even wear Boho-inspired fashions or encourage kids and guests to make sharpie tie-dye tshirts! Don’t forget plenty of camp inspired food like burgers, homemade salads and roasted marshmallows!

Celebrity summer: Celebrity Kid Birthday Party

Kourtney Kardashian’s little man Mason got a birthday party most little boys can only dream of! With a Thomas the Train Engine theme, Kourtney spared no expense on decorations or the entertainment. She ended Mason’s special day with a surprise trip to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum and finished up with a trip to the desert specialty restaurant, “Serendipity”!

Reality summer: DIY “Arty” Kid Birthday Party

Create a party for them that’s like none other! Throw down a large tarp and set up stations for all the little guests at your party with finger paints, play dough, and other art activities. The kids can explore different art stations and get creative. Stick with the colorful theme for dessert with some colorful cakes and different flavors of ice cream. You can even let the kids add decorations like sprinkles and edible glitter to their cake!
